Kai Asakura, DEC
This is a pretty good fight.... Will be watching for sure Juan may be tougher but Kai has good skill and spars alot with his brother. Also to be out for a year and win via stoppage against Motoya who has been very active the last year is a solid win....
Asakura vs. Karamov
Mikuru Asakura, DEC
The Azeri's are proper tough good win if he can get it

Juan Archuleta, DEC
Asakura got a tough one here. I thought archuleta was slowing down but he has looked really good recently
Izawa vs. Lopez
Seika Izawa, SUB, R1
Shame ufc doesn’t have an atomweight divisiob because izawa would be the p4p #1. She is a force
Takizawa vs. Ota
Kenta Takizawa, DEC
I really like ota and want him to succeed but he’s been given a pretty rough mma schedule thus far. He should beat this guy but at the same time takizawa has only lost to legit guys & beaten the people who have beaten ota
Abe vs. Tanabe
Igor Tanabe, SUB, R1
Abe is a good striker but can’t grapple. Tanabe is a very legit grappler. He’s untested as far as mma goes but I think he should make quick work of Abe

So weird that Kleber doesn't get a shot at the vacant title even though he beat Suzuki....
Ougikubo vs. Archuleta
Juan Archuleta, DEC
Good on Hiromasa getting this fight, but Juan has a great style to beat him.

Kleber was the previous champ but overweighted 0,4kg last fight vs Suzuki so they took his strap and decided to make Asakura vs Karamov a title fight. Kleber should indeed get the championship fight next time when he fights.

yes, that's why I find it weird he didn't get this shot immediately. it's already weird enough the fight gets turned to a no contest since he won

it sucks being a Suzuki fan right now. He's got a great kickboxing skillset that can be refined to fit into mma but it may be too soon, yet again. Also keep in mind, Pitbull is bound to decline at some point, and a good striker could nulify him, but to do so you need to be able to use speed or power to gain respect. Can Suzuki do it ? maybe, i just don't see it right now.

However, with that said I think making Asakura vs Karamov a title match is kinda lame and instead having next Kleber fight as a title match would have made more sense.
And yeah, the no contest thing was definitely not great.

I'm still confused as to why they would make a title fight if he was champion until he missed weight. did they plan to make an interim or am I missing something? I understand they want to stack the Super Rizin card, but it just seems sketchy.

Love the dog shot on Takizawa. That is a potentially good eye, brother. Nice assessment.

He should finish this guy but given the short notice & the fact pitbull is (slowly) declining, I think this goes the distance

I don't know the answer but we can speculate. As for interim title I haven't heard anything. While stacking the card is one thing I can think of few other (rather sketchy) reasons that might be in play:
If Asakura became the champ it would be great for Rizin since he is really popular in Japan. Also Rizin CEO can be pretty hotheaded at times and may simply be pissed off at Kleber for missing the weight(they were in bad terms a while back as well though I forgot the reason, before Kleber became the champ) so I wouldn't be too surprised if this was kind of a "payback" to Kleber. Just speculation though, might be right, might be wrong.
