FROM FIGHT PROMOTION LEGEND FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP (WWW.LEGENDFC.COM):
Unlike most Chinese MMA fighters, who have their Martial Arts base in Sanda, Ning originally comes from a Greco-Roman Wrestling background. One of China’s most highly decorated wrestlers, Ning has a host of titles to his name: the National City Games Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, the Shandong Province Wrestling Championship, the Hebei Province Wrestling Championship, and the Beijing Submission Wrestling Championship. To develop his striking, he has also trained and competed in Sanda, and these two complementary skill-sets have served him well in MMA. He has earned the nickname “Smasher” for his ability to take down opponents at will and pound them out on the ground.
