Regional Rankings Rankings FAQ

Tommy Glanville is ineligible for regional rankings due to inactivity.
Fighters must have at least one completed MMA bout in the past two years to be ranked.

Tommy Glanville was part of the original wave of fighters to enter the cage way back in the early days of MMA. He fought at the infamous first 'Battlecade extreme fighting' event in November 1995, losing to Gary Myers who he would later rematch to a draw in 1997. Glanville returned to his foundation sport of kickboxing and had 5 fights for the K-1 organisation including 1 in Japan against Japanese wrestling legend Yoji Anjo. Also under the K-1 banner, Glanville handed American kickboxer Mark Miller his first pro loss at the kK-1 USA show in August 2000. Perhaps his most memorable bout was in 2004, when he faced the much larger Bob Sapp in Las Vegas, losing by TKO. He had an MMA record of 0-1-1 and a kickboxing record of 19-7-0. Tommy Glanville passed away in his sleep on August 10th 2005. He will be remembered in the martial arts community as someone willing to fight anyone, regardless of their size or experience.
